ELYAFI.NET Hosting Problems

Hani and the Red Sea

Hi everyone,

It has been quite some time since I wrote, we were on vacation in the Red Sea... it was great...

We went to Sharm El Sheikh for 8 days where I did a lot of diving (you can see the diving pictures in the Gallery), we then went to Al Gouna for a week.

Al Gouna was absolutely great, we had a beatiful time there.

We then went to Cairo to see Sarah's family. We took Hani to the Zoo for the first time in his life (we were more excited than he was)... He was mainly distracted by the people and not by the animals... figures...

Anyways, keep visiting and check out those pictures.

A retiree's journey

Zaynab writes "Finally, after a 30-year adventure at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC, I have retired on April 1 to begin a new journey: Books beckon, the garden whispers for TLC, Mama at 93 is claiming her daughter back, Rabi--the quiet compassionate husband-- beams, friends come calling, the Arts are waiting, the club shouts for attention, and the parks are ready to receive their lost child.

Will the career woman yearn for office work again or will she learn to enjoy the simple things in life? Time will tell. For now, I intend to enjoy Washington's glorious spring.

PS: I recommend two excellent books: (1) "From the Holy Mountain" by William Darlymple who traces in the mid 90s the travels of two monks in the 6th century A.D. while providing commentary on the state of the nations visited such as Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Isreal and Egypt. (2) "The Five People You Will Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom."
